Which is better? Pressure washing or soft washing?
It really depends on the surface that needs cleaning. They are both great cleaning methods, but when used incorrectly, they can damage the surfaces and interiors of your property.
What is soft washing?
Is a type of washing that uses low pressure nozzle on the machine, instead of high pressure. The specialized solution combined does more of the cleaning instead of the pressurized water. This has developed in the last 20 years originally intended for causing less damage to cleaning roof shingles. Certain surfaces actually should be cleaned with lower pressure to prevent damage such as breaking the seals in windows which traps moisture, or tearing shingles off a roof or vinyl siding from your house. Soft washing also uses less water, and the effects of the biodegradable chemicals last longer.
What is pressure washing?
Pressure washing is a cleaning method that uses a highly pressurized water jet combined with chemicals to clean moss, algae, mildew and debris off of hard to clean surfaces such as concrete like driveways.
At Sparking Clean we believe soft washing is the best method for removing debris from exteriors such as your roof, sidings, wood, etc. Pressure washing should solely be reserved for the very hard surfaces such as concrete.
